A native of Palm Beach, FL, the righthander had a brief call-up with the Nationals then was eventually traded by Oakland to Houston in the deal that sent Chris Carter and Max Stassi for Jed Lowrie and Francisco Rodriguez.

After a rough few years battling inconsistency and injuries, Peacock found his form in 2017, posting a 13-2 record with a 3.00 ERA as Houston won their first Worlds Championship. He has jumped between the bullpen and the starting rotation ever since, including 2020 when he'll compete for a rotation spot and will go back to the pen if he doesn't make it.

Over seven seasons in Houston through 2019, Peacock has a 34-30 record with a 4.06 ERA in 175 games (83 starts) and three saves.
