After spending five years as a part-time player in Oakland and Cleveland, Buck signed with the Astros prior to the 2012 season. The left-handed swinging outfielder won a spot on Houston's Opening Day roster but was waived in May after batting .216 in 33 games. That was his final big league appearance. For his career, Buck hit .243 with 20 homers.
