Lefthanded swingman Wade Blasingame spent four seasons with the Braves before a mid-season deal sent him to the Astros for closer Claude Raymond in 1967. The New Mexico native went 17-28 for Houston with a 4.84 ERA before he was sent to the Yankees in 1972.

He is not related to former big league infielder Don Blasingame who played in the Braves organization around the same time.
