A catcher from Oral Roberts University, Bjorkman played in the St. Louis farm system before a trade sent him to the Houston organization. He reached the big leagues in 1983 and hit .227 with two homers in 29 games. He was sent to Montreal the next spring but did not make the final roster and never again played in the major leagues.
