The 11th round draft pick of the Astros in 2017, Bielak (pron: "BEE-lak") reached the majors in 2020, notching the win in his big league debut against Seattle. The University of Notre Dame product won three of his first five appearances and made six starts.

However, the wheels fell off for the righthander in late August, finishing with a 3-3 record and a 6.75 ERA in 12 appearances. He will be a starting pitcher candidate for 2021.
