After posting an impressive .329/.402/.454 slash line in eight seasons playing for the Yakult Swallows in his native Japan, Norichika Aoki came stateside, joining the Milwaukee Brewers for the 2012 season. Aoki has been a picture of consistency in his five MLB seasons, posting a batting average between .283 and .288 and on-base percentages between .349 and .356. Aoki gives manager A.J. Hinch another left-handed bat to insert into the lineup or bring in off the bench. Aoki also fills another void from recent Astros history as an extreme contact hitter. Norichika has struck out in only 8% of his plate appearances since coming to America.
