Acquired by the Astros in a 2011 trade for outfielder Michael Bourn, the Dominican righthander appeared in seven games for Houston and fanned 12 batters in 6.2 innings pitched. This turned out to be his only major league action, although he was claimed by Toronto off waivers in 2012 and was signed to pitch with the Dodgers in 2013 and 2014.
