I remember a game in 1986 (or 1987) when Smith came on in the 9th in a tie game with runners on 1st & 2nd.

The first batter hit a drive all of the way to the wall in LF, but it was caught and the runners went back. The next batter hit a drive to the wall in CF, but it was caught and the runners advanced. The last batter hit a drive to the LF wall and the game was over.

Three batters, about 1000 feet of outs, and it just looked a routine 3-up, 3-down save in the morning paper.
