Mike Scott is perhaps the greatest pitcher Ive ever seen. I loved the guy when I was growing up- hint at my age- and I still remember how sad I was when his career came to a disappoining end in 1991. Mike Scott, in my mind, will always be the standard bearer for all pichers.

Mike Scott in 1986 wasn't just the best pitcher in 1986. Mike Scott '86, armed with a time machine, could travel to any year since I started watching baseball, and easily be either league's best pitcher.
